# Freeform activity: Consecutive

> Freeform activity: Consecutive — VisuoLab.

**For participants**

The **Consecutive** activity supports translation and interpreting practice using materials such as videos, texts, images and PDF documents.

First, follow the content and organize your notes according to the Supervisor’s instructions. Then record your interpretation on video. The task may involve a complete item or a sequence of sections.

## Before you begin

* Check **Instructions** for the task and materials.
* Identify what should be interpreted and how to organize your responses.
* Prepare notes as instructed.
* Check camera, microphone and framing.
* Watch the remaining time when an on-screen timer is present.

## View the material and record your interpretation

Choose the tab matching the material. Viewing and recording follow the workflow and settings prepared by the Supervisor.

    Use **Record** to respond as instructed. Continue through the activity sections, checking your position in the sequence.

    At the final section, review your production and conclude with **Finish Activity**, as shown in the finalization flow below.

    Read the text and organize your interpretation. Use viewer controls to navigate pages and adjust reading.

    If **Time Left** is shown, watch the remaining time. When ready, select **Record video** to open the recording screen.

    The displayed time is an example; follow your activity’s deadline and instructions.

    Examine the image or document and prepare your interpretation. Organize the notes needed for the task.

    When ready, select **Record video**. If a timer is present, watch the remaining time.

## Record, review and finish

<Note>

  <Step title="Record your interpretation">
    Check your framing and use **Record**. Interpret based on the content you viewed and the notes you prepared.

  <Step title="Review your production">
    Check the video before finishing. Use **Discard** when needed to redo the recording.

    The panel also offers optional subtitles and **Add marker**. In the text or document example, subtitles use **.vtt** format. Check your installation’s options.

  <Step title="Finish according to the workflow">
    Use the button shown in your activity after checking your production.

    | Example | Finalization shown |
    | - | - |
    | **Text or document** | **Done** completes the flow; **Discard** lets you discard the production. |
    | **Video sequence** | **Finish Activity** appears on the third section’s screen to complete the activity. |
