# Open, save and share

Open a material’s page to read its description and see the available actions.

<Note>
  The screenshots show a V-Book example. Some screens are in Portuguese and others in English, so the button names are provided in both languages.

## Access the content

Use **Download / Open** to download or open the material, depending on its format and the available option. In this example, the button is **View content (Ver conteúdo)**.

    Find the resource card and open its page. The card shows the title, authorship, institution, categories and format.

  <Step title="Check the resource information">
    On the material’s page, review the authorship, resource type, languages and other details. The action buttons appear below this information.

  <Step title="Open the content">
    Click **View content (Ver conteúdo)**. For other formats, use the available open or download option.

## Save for later

Click **Save (Salvar)** to keep the material in **My Resources → Saved**.

Then open **My Resources** from the sidebar and select **Saved**. In the Portuguese screenshot below, the tab is labeled **Salvo**, with the number of saved materials.

<Tip>
  Saving a resource helps you find it again; it does not download the file. Once saved, the button may show **Saved (Salvo)**.

## Share a material

Click **Share (Compartilhar)** to open the sharing options.

Choose an available option in the dialog. This example offers **WhatsApp**, **Facebook**, **Twitter** and **Copy link**.

## Other actions

The toolbar below groups the material’s actions. The resource is already saved, so the button shows **Saved**. Use **Report** to report a problem.

| Action | What it does |
| - | - |
| **Download / Open** | Downloads or opens the material. In this example: View content. |
| **Save** | Keeps the resource in My Resources → Saved. The button may show Save or Saved. |
| **Share** | Offers sharing options or copies the resource link. |
| **Report** | Lets you report a problem with a material. |
| **Edit** | Lets the owner or someone with editing permission change the resource. |

<Note>
  **Edit** appears only for the resource owner or users with the required permission; it is not shown in this example. Sharing options depend on the installation version.
