# Integrations and API

> API references, technical documentation and guidance for planning institutional integrations with VisuoLab.

This page brings together references for technology and development teams interested in VisuoLab's technical resources and in **evaluating integrations with institutional systems**.

<Note>
  The API documentation and some technical resources are hosted externally, in English. Before implementing an integration, confirm the version in use and the availability of the relevant resources with the team responsible for your installation.

## Before starting an integration

An integration should take into account not only what the API documents but also the specifics of the institutional installation.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Define the objective">
    Identify the workflows and data to integrate, who will use the solution and the expected outcomes.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Review documented capabilities">
    Consult the API reference to verify that the required operations are available in the version used by your institution.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Clarify access, permissions and data protection">
    Confirm with the technical team the applicable authentication and authorization requirements, personal data handling rules and availability of test environments.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Validate before production use">
    Plan integration testing, error handling, monitoring and maintenance according to the institutional deployment.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## Installation and operation

For infrastructure, services and deployment procedures, see [Installation and technical configuration](/en/installation).

If your institution plans to deploy an integration, coordinate requirements with its technical team and, when necessary, with [Levante Lab](mailto:contato@levantelab.com.br).

## How this documentation may evolve

At this stage, external technical references remain the primary sources. In a future phase, endpoint documentation may be brought into Mintlify **if a compatible OpenAPI specification is available and approved for publication**, after reviewing versions, examples and access requirements.
